Course Information

This half-day course is designed to introduce delegates to the concepts and functionality of the SDS ProVal Consolidation module.

Delegates will be able to use SDS ProVal efficiently and confidently by creating consolidations encompassing existing appraisals.

It is likely that there will be some time at the end of this session to cover any other general questions and issues on any module, as requested by the delegates.

Pre-requisites

Those attending this course should have a basic understanding of development and of the appraisal process, and be comfortable with using a mouse.  No prior experience of the Consolidation module is expected, but delegates should have previous experience of using any of the other SDS ProVal modules.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the layout of this module
  • Understand the concept of defaults as used in Consolidation
  • Create a simple consolidation
  • Basic understanding of the key consolidation outputs
  • Save and print the consolidation

  • Opening & closing the consolidation
  • Default values used in this module
  • Reviewing what data is consolidated
  • Reviewing the capital cost data report
  • Understanding the way the data is presented for development cashflows
  • Adjusting development cashflows in the consolidation
  • Understanding the way the data is presented for long-term cashflows
  • Understanding the phasing effect of schemes and interpreting the results
  • Adjusting timings in the long term cashflow
  • Getting back to existing scheme data from the consolidation module
  • Removing schemes from the consolidation
  • Review of ancillary reports and charts
